NEW YEARS EVE IN PHUKET 2020
Phuket Town and Patong beach are the two most visited places for countdown parties and NYE fireworks. Patong beach is usually be blocked off for it's NYE party which in the past has included a music festival between the December 30th and 31st. Music concerts are typically performed on a massive floating stage; quite an impressive sight to see. For a more glamorous NYE experience the Regent Phuket, a stunning 5 star resort hotel in Cape Panwa, will host a festive gala.
Celebtaions in Phuket Town usually involves a 3 night special event for its impressive Countdown Phuket festival that takes place December 29th through the 31. Activities usually include concerts, singing contests, a "Light Wonderland" exhibit, aromatic food stalls and NYE fireworks show at midnight.
Another major event celebrating New Year will take place at the legendary Twin Palms Phuket Resort, where their Beach BBQ typically starts at 8:00 pm, followed by the thrilling New Year countdown party on the beach, complete with cocktails being served from the resort's exclusive beach bars. There will definitely be NYE buffets served before tourists head out to the water's edge to enjoy NYE fireworks.
BEST PARTY PLACES FOR NEW YEARS EVE IN PHUKET 2020
1. Anywhere in Bangla Road
Bangla is party central all year round so this famous street will be crowded. Every bar gets full and the atmosphere is unique to this night. If you don't have a plan for New Year, just walk up and down until you spot a bar or a club that talks to you. It's absolutely not sophisticated or romantic. It's loud, colourful, messy and 100% party animal. If you come for a wild night this might be your best bet.
2. Paradise Beach
Paradise beach is Phuket's answer to the famous Koh Phangan Full Moon Party. This little cove is a little tropical beach by day, and a huge dance floor by night. Loud music, lots of lights and good international DJ's make sure your night is unforgettable. There is an entrance fee for parties, probably higher for New Years Eve than on full moon parties. Technically it becomes an immense outdoor club surrounded by coconuts trees. There is a free shuttle to take you to and back from the party to Patong beach.
3. Catch Beach Club
Catch is an iconic beach club in Phuket. It was the first such club to open years ago in Surin, a nearby beach. The new one is not as striking as the original Catch Beach Club but it is definitely a great place for the countdown on the sand and by the sea.
4. Xana Beach Club
Beach clubs are a great way to celebrate new year. It's more tropical and less hectic than nightclubs of Patong but you still can party, drink and dance all you want. If you need a break you can walk on the beach and step away from the noise. You could even swim but we wouldn't recommend it… alcohol and dark ocean don't mix well

There is a law in Phuket that says that construction within 200 m from the beach cannot be higher than a coconut tree (12m) . 1. Mom Tri's Kitchen
Mom Tri's Kitchen Royale at Villa Royale in Kata Noi Beach balances the three factors perfectly and invites the diner to simply appreciate and enjoy some fabulous cuisine in a divine setting. Villa Royale straddles the headland separating Kata Yai and Kata Noi beaches on Phuket's west coast. Kata is some eight kilometres south of Patong. Drive to the south of the resort town and follow the road over the hill to Kata Noi. Villa Royale on the right and has ample parking space in its beautiful gardens.
2. Black Ginger
Black Ginger Phuket is part of the wider The Slate Resort and is set on an island in the middle of a lagoon. Access to this restaurant is by boat only and will take you across the flame-lit waters to the main venue, where you can enjoy modern twists on traditional Thai dishes. 'Kan eang' roughly translates as 'easy going' and it's true that, for a large restaurant dealing with so many people on a daily basis, the atmosphere at Kan Eang still stays somewhat laid back and relaxed.
